 About parks

Harris Township operates two parks with a limited staff, and a limited budget. We’ve seen firsthand the need for more green space in the Granger area, and are attempting to meet it - despite others being better equipped for that role.
The township has no full-time employees, so we count on the cooperation of the public to keep the parks in order. Thanks!

St. Joseph County has no park in the township, but owns over 100 undeveloped acres there. Care to advocate?

The City of Mishawaka has no park in the township, with the closest being south of Day Road. Care to advocate?

Thanks for your cooperation in keeping Harris Township Parks great places to visit:

  • Mind your pets

  • Pick up trash

  • Report vandalism, with pictures if possible

  • Enjoy yourself! - and tell a friend if you did

And remember, donations are tax-deductible
