Harris Township Park at Elm Road

between the library and fire station on Elm Road, just north of State Road 23 in Granger, Indiana
on the Granger Path

 You’ll find: playground, pavilion, four pickleball courts, full-sized basketball court, baseball diamond, cricket pitch, family swings, native prairie restoration area. No reservations are accepted. All play is on a ‘first come’ basis, but please share time with others.

Operating times: 8 am to dusk daily; the driveway and parking lot are not plowed; pickleball nets are taken down for the winter. Please don’t disturb the neighbors - think ‘The Golden Rule’.

Location: in Granger, Indiana at approximately 51520 Elm Road; located along the Granger Path (with bike lockup areas)

Rules:

  • no wheels or glass on the courts

  • keep dogs leashed and off the playground

  • always clean up after your pets

  • cooperate to share use of courts, fields, and pavilion space

  • take your trash with you if possible

  • the pavilion is shared use; any use by more than 10 people requires prior, written approval

  • no fires, alcohol, glass, fireworks, foul language, loud music

  • all play is at your own risk; children must be supervised

  • no unattended parking at any time, especially overnight

 

Notes:

  • Built in 2016 on land already owned by Harris Township

  • Good Shepherd United Methodist Church - across the street - welcomes visitors including to their playground suited to smaller children, and welcomes use of their parking lot when it is otherwise unused

  • The library welcomes use of their parking lot when it is otherwise unused
