On the south side of Brummitt Road, between Beech and County Line (or Ash) Road. Approximately a mile west of Discovery/Horizon schools. Bordered by the Indiana Toll Road on the south, and Gast Ditch on the west.
The walk around the perimeter of the park is approximately one mile.
The park includes a small wooded area and ample parking at both the playground and playing fields.
The park offers numerous playing fields, a large playground, and an open lawn area along Brummit Road.
All areas of this park are available for public use, but not at all times. ECHO soccer fields and those used by Penn Lacrosse are reserved for their priority use as needed.
In the Spring of 2015, eight bluebird boxes and many fruit trees were planted along Gast Ditch. Thanks to the Audubon Society for helping to make HTP at Brummitt Road more bird-friendly. A Kestrel box sits in the southeast corner of the park near the toll road, and an owl box can be seen at the edge of the woods from the entry driveway. See a full list of the birds that call HTP their home.
Improvements for this park are always under consideration. If you’re passionate about improving the park and interested in lending your expertise, please contact the trustee at harristrusteelindsay@gmail.com
