The Harris Township Board will meet 4.8.2020 to seek public input on an additional budget appropriation for 2020.
The $40,000 additional appropriation is for purposes of Township Assistance, in anticipation of additional need. The funding source is the Rainy Day Fund. No funds would be disbursed until the initial $15,000 appropriation is exhausted.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 8 at 6pm, outside the Trustee Office which is located in the fire station at 13981 State Road 23, Granger, Indiana. Again, the meeting will begin promptly at 6pm, and will be held outdoors.

The township may be able to assist township residents, including with utility and rent in certain situations, and subject to income and other published guidelines. Please note that as of now, utilities are not shutting off service.
Thanks in advance for your patience as the resurfacing project awaits completion in the form of finishing work between the lot and the front retention pond. Some parking spots are blocked off, to protect the ground from developing ruts tat would impede that work.
As always and per the posted signs, additional parking is available in the church lot across the street, when there is no service or event at the church.
Until the work is complete, please don’t park in the handicap spots if you don’t have a valid pass, or between them – as indicated by the blue lines.
Last year the pickleball nets went up in mid-April. While that decision is always weather dependent, this parking issue may also play a role this year.
